Parking in Downtown-Uptown Columbus
Parking in downtown Columbus (often called Uptown) is remarkably accessible, with several large public garages offering free parking alongside strictly enforced street-level time limits.Columbus Consolidated Government (.gov) +4
Public Parking Garages
Most visitors find the multi-story decks to be the most convenient option for longer stays.
This is the P3 Parking Garage (CB&T Deck) at 11th Street and 1st Avenue. The Pearl is on the next corner.. very easy walk.
🚙 ROLL WITH US 🚙
WHAT IS IT?
Roll with us uptown shuttle is a FREE ON-DEMAND Uptown Shuttle service provided by the city of Columbus through its METRA transit division. It runs small, solar-powered electric 5-passenger golf-cart-style shuttles around the Uptown area.
🚐 What It Is
- A free public shuttle service using small electric carts (solar-assisted, 5-passenger vehicles).
- Branded with the slogan **“Roll with US.”” **
- It’s not a traditional bus — riders schedule a ride similar to an app-based service.
📍 Where It Runs
The shuttle operates within a designated Uptown Columbus area — roughly:
- Bay Avenue to 1st Avenue
• • 9th Street up to 14th Street
(Shuttles won’t cross 13th Street; access to 14th is via Front Avenue.)
🕐 Hours of Operation
- Monday–Thursday: ~11 AM – 8 PM
- Friday & Saturday: ~10 AM – 12 AM (midnight)
📱 How to Use It
- Request a ride by scanning a QR code posted in Uptown or via the scheduling link on the City of Columbus METRA webpage.
- The service is on-demand — ride requests are sent to available shuttle drivers who then pick you up and take you where you want to go within the service area.
🛻 Additional Notes
- Each cart often features unique local designs/themes celebrating Columbus culture.
- One of the shuttles is ADA-accessible to better serve riders with mobility needs.
- The service helps ease parking congestion in busy Uptown areas.
If you need traditional shuttle or private transportation options around Columbus (outside this Uptown shuttle service), there are local providers like Airport Shuttle Service and Vision Transportation & Shuttle Services that serve broader shuttle needs such as airport transfers or private rides.
